Greenville Teacher Will Soon Face Charges From a September Incident

GREENVILLE, Miss. (AP) – The Mississippi Department of Education has filed charges to suspend or revoke the Greenville High School teacher shown dragging a student by her hair across the floor. A charge filed Thursday by an investigator in the state’s Office of Educator Misconduct says Linda Winters-Johnson grabbed, dragged and hit a special education student on or about Sept. 21. State department spokeswoman Patrice Guilfoyle says a Nov. 4 hearing is scheduled for Johnson before the state licensure commission
