CRIME ALERT: 2nd Murder This Week in Maysville

UPDATE (10:30 a.m.) – The murder victim on Ghent Street has been identified as Kenjuan Dailey, a 28-year-old from Mobile, according to the Mobile Police Department.

ORIGINAL STORY – Mobile Police are investigating a murder Wednesday morning in Maysville. This is the second murder in the Maysville area in the past three days.

A man was found shot to death in the front yard outside a home on Ghent Street in Mobile.

The shooting occurred around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Officers were on the scene collecting evidence and looking for a suspect Wednesday.

The scene of the shooting is only two blocks from George Hall Elementary School. Earlier, the school went on lockdown as officers searched for a suspect in the murder.

News 5 has a crew on Ghent Street and will bring you the latest when it becomes available.

The shooting comes two days after a murder at Baumhauer Park on Monday morning. Justin Sanders, a 33-year-old from Mobile, was found shot to death inside a baseball dugout at the park. Mobile Police have not yet made an arrest in this case.
