GULF SHORES, AL- Baldwin County hotels are packed with hurricane evacuees from Florida.
Many hotels, like the Gulf Shores Holiday Inn Express, are having to turn people away.
Hotel guests and employees are glued to the television in the lobby watching live hurricane coverage from Florida’s east coast.
Evacuees we talked to are making the best of it. Many tell us Gulf Shores isn’t that bad of a place to evacuate to. Many evacuees we ran into in Gulf Shores are from Orlando and Florida’s “Space Coast.”
Many will stay in Baldwin County through the weekend and return home Monday.
More than 2 million people from Florida, Georgia and South Carolina have evacuated this week.
