Two of the biggest holidays in the Jewish calendar start this week. Neil Sass with the Mobile Jewish Federation joins us to talk about Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Rosh Hashanah is the two-day Jewish New Year observance. It starts at sundown and is traditionally marked by classic food and some celebration.
Yom Kippur is a little different. It is the Day of Atonement and is traditionally marked by fasting and prayer. It’s a time to reflect and concentrate on how to be a better person in the New Year.
