South Alabama Overwhelms San Diego State 42-24

The South Alabama Jaguars took down the 19th ranked San Diego State Aztecs at Ladd-Peebles Stadium Saturday night, 42-to-24.
South went into the game as a 20 point underdog.

The Jags snagged two touchdowns in the first quarter to take the lead 14-6 going into the second. The Aztecs would get a touchdown and field goal before halftime to take the lead, 16-14.
After the half South and San Diego State saw a touchdown a piece in the third leaving the Jags fighting, 24-21. South came back strong in the fourth scoring three touchdowns.
The Jaguars record is now 3-2.
The Aztecs came to Mobile with the leading rusher in the country in Donnell Pumphrey.
South’s next game is Saturday, October 15th against Arkansas State.
