Mayor Stimpson announced on Friday that Riverside Ice presented by the Airbus Group is expected to return this holiday season. Last year, nearly 14,000 ice skaters and thousands of spectators took advantage of the fun activity.
“Last year, I made a promise to the citizens of Mobile that our Christmas celebration would be bigger and better than ever before,” said Mayor Stimpson. “This year’s ice skating rink will be bigger literally and better than ever. The holiday season is an important time for our community to come together, and this is one way we can all celebrate.”
The City will open the outdoor ice skating rink in Cooper Riverside Park in November. Admission for skating will be $10 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under. The admission fee includes the cost of skate rentals. Free parking will be provided for all ice skaters in the City Lot on Water and Government Streets. Ice skating lessons will once again be given to anyone interested. For rates and reservations, email Elizabeth@magiciceusa.com
