Player of Week 4: Davidson’s James Clemons

Davidson wide receiver James Clemons receives the week four News 5 Player of the Week Award presented by Greene and Phillips.

Clemons had a big game last weekend in the Warriors 41-21 win over Baker High School. Clemons caught three touchdown passes in the win.

News 5’s Randy Patrick visited the Davidson High School campus Wednesday afternoon and presented Clemons with his award. While on campus, Davidson Head Coach Fred Riley told News 5 that Clemons may be the best wide receiver in the school’s history.

In the blowout victory last weekend at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, Clemons racked up 147 receiving yards and had touchdowns catches of 64 and 63 yards, along with another 9-yard touchdown catch.

Davidson has another tough game this Friday night when they welcome the Theodore Bobcats, who are coming off a 35-10 win over Fairhope, to Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
