According to the mother of Travis Barnhill, Nicole Barnhill, the family is no longer looking for Travis. She told us the body was his. At this time she did not want to comment further.
1:00PM UPDATE: BODY FOUND WAS A WHITE MAL
Some property owners in Wilmer made a disturbing discovery Wednesday morning on Cemetery Road.
A body was found inside a trash can this morning around 8:40am, according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.
The identity of the body is unknown at this point, though News 5 is told it is a white male. The body has been there for approximately one to two days, sources confirm.
Police have blocked the road and taped off the scene of where the body was discovered.
Earlier today, a property owner called News 5, saying someone had dropped off a trashcan onto his property. The caller said inside the trashcan was a body wrapped in a carpet, giving off a strong odor.
News 5 has a crew on the scene at Cemetery Road and will bring the latest information when it becomes available.
