BAY MINETTE, AL- The Baldwin County Commission will likely approve Sheriff Hoss Mack’s fiscal 2017 budget which includes 5-10% pay raises for more than 200 employees.
All deputies, corrections officers and dispatchers will get pay hikes beginning in October.
The raises will boost morale for the force and will make the sheriff’s office more competitive with other, local law enforcement agencies. Mack says he’ll be able to keep his good employees and attract qualified applicants.
The pay increase plan is about a one million dollar investment. The commission will likely approve the raises at its final budget hearing in September.
