BILOXI, Miss. (AP) – Police say an Alabama woman illegally won $3,000 on a baccarat game at a Mississippi casino by placing a bet after the cards had been revealed.
Biloxi Police Detective Brock Newell tells The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/2b0NkVf) 46-year-old Ngoc My Le, of Auburn, Alabama, was taken into custody late Sunday night on a felony charge of false pretense.
Newell says Le was at IP Casino Resort and had placed a $100 casino chip on a 30-to-1 bonus play. He says the illegal act is called late betting or past posting.
Newell says the dealer didn’t see Le place a bet and didn’t remember a chip being there.
Le is being held in the Harrison County jail on a $10,000 bond.
Online jail records do not list an attorney for her.
