A tragic weekend for a family in Mobile, Alabama. State Troopers say 18-year-old Quitman Clarke died after his car hit a utility pole and then a tree. He was driving on Interstate 65 in Cullman County early Sunday morning. It occurred around 4:45 a.m. on Interstate 65 at the 308-mile marker, less than a mile south of Cullman.
Clarke was a Murphy High School graduate and even played football for the Panthers. Investigators say Clarke, along with his three other teenage passengers, was not wearing a seat belt. The other teens were transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
