UPDATE (4:30 p.m.) – Mobile Police have identified 28-year-old Philander Charles Butler as the driver of the vehicle that crashed into a home on Baltimore Street.
Butler is currently sitting in Mobile Metro Jail charged with domestic violence third degree (reckless endangerment).
ORIGINAL STORY – Mobile Fire Rescue responded to an early morning accident when a vehicle flipped after striking a house on Baltimore Street in Mobile.
Luckily, the driver of the vehicle did not sustain injuries nor anyone near the scene, according to a spokesperson for Mobile Fire Rescue.
The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. on Baltimore Street between Kelly and Ross Streets.
According to a spokesperson with the Mobile Police Department, the driver of the vehicle is in custody and will be facing charges. The exact charges have not yet been determined, but authorities tell News 5 that it is now a domestic violence and reckless endangerment investigation. The driver’s identity has not yet been released.
