The Mobile Police Department wants to help make our communities stronger, safer, and better places to live.
The public is invited to their National Night Out events tonight at the Shoppes of Bel Air and Bienville Square.
The events are designed to bring police officers and the communities they serve together.
“We’ve grown each and every year so we’re excited about National Night Out because it’s a great outreach for our community, and bringing community into police work and vice versa,” said Officer Gary Owen.
Dozens of organizations will be on hand tonight providing safety demonstrations, informational booths, and door prizes.
Mobile has been participating in National Night Out for 32 years and has been ranked nationally for the last three years.
Mobile’s National Night Out runs from 5:30 until 9:00 tonight at the Shoppes of Bel Air.
In Bienville Square, a 5K run will take place at 6:30. Registration for the run begins at 4:30.
