Barlow Brothers Denied Parole

Two convicted killers will remain in prison for at least the next five years.

The Barlow brothers were in court in Montgomery this morning for their parole hearing.
The parole board denied their request to be put on parole.
This was the Barlows’ third parole hearing since 2005.

In 1993, Shannon was 15 and Franklin 20, when they and another man killed their stepmother Kathy and raped and killed their 12-year-old stepsister Angel in their home in Nokomis, Alabama.

22 members of the victims family traveled to Montgomery for today’s hearing.
They say they are pleased that the Barlow brothers were denied parole but disappointed they will have to do this again in five years.
