24-year-old Tevin Gamble was arrested this morning by Mobile Police following a flurry of gunfire that occurred early Sunday morning in downtown Mobile’s entertainment district.
It happened around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday morning on Dauphin Street near the entrance of the Downtown Mobile Alliance building.
According to authorities, there was an altercation between several males in front of the business and, as officers moved toward the scene, three shots were fired into the air.
Following the gunfire, the crowd dispersed and the subject fled the area. Luckily, there have been no reported injuries.
News 5’s J.B. Biunno was about 30 feet away when the bullets began flying Sunday night. When the firing stopped, he found an empty holster lying on the sidewalk along with a couple of shell casings. Biunno said he saw at least 60 people running for cover, some took cover in local businesses.
Gamble is charged with reckless endangerment and discharging a firearm. He was located by police through an open investigation into the incident.
