A three-vehicle crash yesterday afternoon on U.S. Highway 98 claimed two lives and sent three others to the hospital.
30-year-old Shemika Robinson of Pensacola and a three-year-old were passengers in one of the cars when the wreck occurred. They were pronounced dead on the scene by Alabama State Troopers.
The two victims were passengers in a 1997 Lexus that struck a 2015 Dodge on U.S. 98, otherwise known as “Bloody 98”. The Dodge then struck a 1997 Nissan.
All three drivers were transported to local hospitals by LifeLight helicopter.
The crash occurred on U.S. 98 on the Escatawpa Bridge 11 miles west of Semmes at 3:50 p.m.
Alabama State Troopers are continuing to investigate the crash.
