Two people had to be rescued from Mobile Bay near the Battleship Monday night.
Mobile Fire Rescue received the call of 2 or 3 persons in the water around 8:30.
When they arrived on the scene they found a woman on shore. Rescue crews pulled a father and son from the water.
“No life-threatening injuries,” said Steve Huffman of Mobile Fire-Rescue. They are just simply tired. They have been out there for approximately an hour. From what we understand is that they were in a kayak and they were trying to get crab traps. The boat started taking on water and it tipped over.”
The men were taking to the hospital for treatment but are expected to be alright.
