Tributes, Donations Pour In For Fallen Blue Angel

Jeff Kuss and family

Tributes and donations continue to pour in for Blue Angel pilot Captain Jeff Kuss, who was killed Thursday when his FA-18 Hornet crashed during practice in Smyrna, Tennessee.

A GoFundMe account was set up by his sister-in-law to help support Kuss’ wife Christina and their two children, 4-year-old Calvin and 1-year-old Sloane.

As of Sunday morning, nearly $170,000 had been donated by more than 2,200 people.

Participants in the Smyrna Air Show Saturday executed a “missing man” fly-by in honor of Kuss.

The city of Nashville paid tribute to Captain Kuss by lighting up the Korean Veteran Bridge in the Blue Angels signature Blue and Gold colors.

The Blue Angels have cancelled their performances until further notice as the investigation into the crash continues.
