Shooting Outside Bel-Air Mall, Two Juveniles in Custody

Three gunshots were fired in the parking lot of Bel-Air Mall on Thursday afternoon in an attempted robbery.

No one was hurt, according to Mobile Police. Two juveniles are in custody and four more are on the fun, News 5 is told.

MPD says the victim was sitting in his car when he was approached by six teenagers, one armed with a gun. The teens attempted to rob the victim, but the victim refused. That’s when the gunman fired a shot into the car.

One black female was heard frantically screaming at the scene, “they got him, they got him.” Although News 5 would later confirm no one was injured.

News 5 has obtained video of the shooting, which shows the shots being fired in the parking lot of the mall before a car speeds into the area behind Starbucks on Airport Boulevard.
