Hangout is Underway Despite Bad Weather Delay

Hangout Music Festival Friday
Bad weather delayed the festival opening for more than four hours.

A little damp but still rocking, thousands of festival goers have taken over the beach, the boardwalk and just about everywhere else along the beachfront in Gulf Shores.

There are seven stages. A sold out crowd of forty thousand and just under one hundred artists. The festival is expected to have an economic impact of around 31 million dollars and has become one of the “must-see” events on the music festival circuit.

Bad weather delayed the opening day for just over four hours. Music schedules were re-worked and most of the artists were able to perform. Bad weather is not expected to be an issue for the rest of the weekend.
