The homeless camp outside of downtown Mobile, known as Tent City, is gone. Over 25 people used to call the camp home.
In April, Mobile police set a deadline for those at the camp to find somewhere else to go. If not gone by May 6th, they would be charged with trespassing.
Officials said that the camp posed a health hazard to the public.
That deadline came and went with no immediate action taken.
Upon visiting the area today, we discovered a clean, vacant space.
We’ll have more on this story tonight on News 5 at 5:00 & 6:00.
