Former ALEA secretary Spencer Collier is suing Alabama Governor Robert Bentley.
In the lawsuit filed Tuesday morning, Collier is claiming wrongful termination, invasion of privacy, defamation of character, intentional misconduct, as well as 2 counts of intentional interference with business relation.
The lawsuit comes on the heels of efforts to impeach Bentley from office after news of an affair with his former top aide, Rebekah Mason broke in late March.
Bentley wasn’t the only one listed in the suit. The defendants include, Rebekah Mason, current ALEA secretary Stan Stabler, the Alabama Council For Excellent Government, RCM Communications and Bentley For Governor Inc.
