Governor Robert Bentley released his tax return as promised, the first one post-divorce.
Bentley filed with his newly single-status and records showed he amassed almost $148,000 last year.
Bentley does not take a salary as part of a promise not to until the Alabama unemployment rate drops to 5.2 percent. Currently, it’s 6.2 percent.
He did claim approximately $30,000 in work expenses, down $6,000 from the previous year.
IRA distributions accounted for the majority of the income.
