According to an article published Sunday by the Washington Post, Former ALEA Secretary Spencer Collier will file a wrongful termination lawsuit next week.
Collier was fired last month after Governor Robert Bentley accused him of mismanaging department money.
Collier claims the real reason he was terminated was because he cooperated with the Attorney General’s investigation into House Speaker Mike Hubbard.
“I am open to the Attorney General’s office coming in, they can take a look at my time at ALEA. They can turn that building upside down. I am open to the FBI coming in. Look at anything we did at ALEA. We did a great job there was no mismanagement of money,” Collier told News 5 last month, days after being terminated.
Sunday Collier referred all future comment on the matter to his attorney.
