(WIAT) — Tuition hikes will go into effect this fall at community colleges across the state.
Members of the Alabama Community College System Board improved the tuition increase.
Rates will go up $2 per credit hour, beginning with the 2016-2017 school year.
It will cost $117 per hour for Alabama residents and $232 per hour for out-of-state residents.
The added costs will bring in about $4 million of revenue.
It will impact all 26 community college campuses across the state.
