Trump, Clinton Inching Closer to Party Nominations

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are inching closer to their party’s presidential nominations.

Results from Tuesday’s primaries and caucuses have been pouring in overnight.

Bernie Sanders has won the Democratic presidential caucuses in Utah and Idaho, but the win doesn’t give him enough delegates to make up for his loss earlier in the night to Hillary Clinton.

Clinton won the Arizona Democratic primary, which was the big prize of the evening. To date, Clinton has a total delegate lead of 1,214 to Sanders’ 925.

Delegates will be awarded proportionally for the Democrats.

Ted Cruz has won the Republican presidential caucuses in Utah. He’s on pace to take all of the state’s delegates by finishing with more than 50 percent of the vote.

Earlier in the night, front-runner Donald Trump won Arizona’s GOP primary with 47 percent of the vote.
