Pensacola-Bound Plane Crashes

A small plane bound for Pensacola crashed Friday on takeoff from Tampa, killing both people on

board.

The plane, a twin-engine Cessna 310, crashed near Peter O. Knight Airport on Tampa’s Davis Islands.

The plane burst into flames.

There were no survivors.

Two people were on board.

Their names have not been released.

Investigators with the FAA will be on site this (Saturday) morning to begin piecing together the clues to determine why the crash happened.
