O-negative blood donors can help anyone in need of a transfusion, making that type of blood particularly valuable. The trouble is that only 9 percent of people have that blood type.
LifeSouth is hoping everyone with O-negative blood will donate blood to help those in need.
So, if you are Type O and have never donated before, please stop by a LifeSouth bloodmobile or donor center today. If you have donated in the past, but it has been awhile, please come back. We critically need your special help today.
Donors must be at least 17, or 16 with parental permission, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health.
A photo ID is also needed. Call 1-888-795-2707 or visit lifesouth.org to learn more.
