New details are being uncovered in court proceedings for the former Hankins Middle School teacher accused of sexting his students.
News 5’s Cassie Fambro Byrd is in the federal detention hearing for Jeremiah Hunter, the 8th grade science teacher arrested for receipt of child pornography and second-degree stalking.
As we reported in February, Hunter was accused of stalking a teenage student he seemed to have an extreme obsession for. News 5 was told by authorities that a picture of the teenage victim was found next to Hunter’s bed. The victim’s photo was also said to be Hunter’s screensaver on his iPhone.
Investigators then revealed that Hunter was communicating with a 13-year-old 8th grader at Hankins Middle School by text message and receiving sexually explicit photos of his classmates. Hunter admitted to many of the accusations, including receiving a video of a male student masturbating.
