TUPELO, Miss. (AP) – A former sheriff’s daughter who pleaded guilty in 2004 to biting a Tupelo police officer’s thigh is in trouble with the law again.
WTVA-TV (http://bit.ly/1Q3IBTL) reports that records show Jada Presley was jailed Saturday in Lee County on a charge of burglary, and her mother, Charlene Presley, on a charge of breaking and entering.
Charlene Presley is the widow of former Lee County Sheriff Harold Ray Presley. Jada Presley is their daughter.
Tupelo police say they’ll release details Monday.
It was not clear whether the Presleys have attorneys who could comment on the arrests.
Attorney William Stennett, who represented Jada Presley in 2004, said he is not currently representing her. After two felony assault trials ended with hung juries, Jada Presley pleaded guilty to misdemeanor simple assault and resisting arrest.
