Mike Moss will serve 30 days in jail after being sentenced today in Baldwin County.

Mike Moss, a man from Baldwin County, will spend 30 days in jail after he was convicted of shooting a U.S. Marine, Christian Valenti, who tried to hide in his backyard while running from police after officers busted an open house party.

Moss was sentenced to five years, and will serve 30 days in jail and three years of probation.

Defense attorney Robert Stankoski says his client is pleased with the judge’s sentence because prosecutors were asking for 10 years split to serve 6 months.

Moss will report to the Baldwin County Corrections Center in Bay Minette on February 9th to serve his 30-day sentence.
