It was a massive response from Mobile Police Wednesday afternoon. Officers swarmed an apartment complex near Davidson High School and Denton Middle School
Police say they were looking for a pair of female armed robbery suspects at the Azalea Point Apartments.
But concerned residents say the presence seemed rather large for the situation. Tactical officers, an armored truck, a robot and even the assistant police chief were all on the scene.
But officers insist the response was standard.
“Anytime we have information and intel that we have, protecting officers is one thing but the safety of the community is the second thing, so this is appropriate for the kind of crime that we are investigating,” said Officer Terence Perkins.
Police wouldn’t elaborate on the crime the crime the women allegedly committed.
Police entered the apartment unit but did not find the women.
