More than two thousand people showed up for the 15th annual Serv1st First Light marathon. They were marching through midtown and downtown Mobile this morning. Some runners say this is a sort of zen exercise.
“I love running, it clears my mind and something I’m passionate about,” said Shannon Beale from Mobile. There was a handful of runners with companions in tow. Team Triumph is a nonprofit group that takes children and adults with special needs through races. I talked with Keith Spain after he helped bring a young woman across the finish line.
“Tired, it was awesome Grace did fantastic, we were with her best friend for the first ten miles and she just said go and I said you’re the boss,” said Spain.
