Slow Start to Fan Arrivals

You can call it a slow start if you want.  I had a little trouble finding fans on my first day in Dallas.  There’s plenty to see and do.  The concierge at the hotel recommended checking out Uptown Dallas.  There are a lot of restaurants, bars and shops there.

There’s a lot of bars so that’s always good, we have a lot of parks around here they have a lot of food trucks out there but most of us just drink it’s a great city for it,” said Fat Rabbit bartender Nicole McWhorter.  She’s been a Dallas bartender for the last four years. “People like to party especially the college kids we have a really really good college turn out here.”  Fans are trickling into the area.  I caught up with Michigan State fan Amy Latka.  She said she’s not fazed by the weather.

“We’re a little disappointed in the weather but it’s not too bad because back home we’re in the middle of a big ice storm,” said Latka.
