With severe weather reported across much of the south, it’s possible that a tornado might have touched down on the Florida panhandle.
News 5 viewer Craig Adams sent in a video of a funnel cloud that appears to form over Santa Rosa county around 8:35am on Monday. With unconfirmed reports of a tornado touching down in that area, it’s possible to a degree that this video shows the funnel that was or would become a tornado.
“No tornado has been confirmed, and we have no damage reports to this point,” reiterated News 5’s Chief Meteorologist Alan Sealls.
However Sealls says there was one tornado near Molino that was “unofficially confirmed” by a really strong signature on radar, not by sight. Tornadoes are normally reported as official by the National Weather Service.
