Employees of one Mobile business returned to the job after the Thanksgiving weekend to find vandals had struck. An asphalt driveway was torn up, sidewalks were damaged and signs were destroyed.
It all happened at the new home of ISAM North America on Broadcast Drive in Mobile. The CEO of the company, Dr. Jurgen Hellmich said he was shocked at the damage. Hellmich believes two pieces of heavy construction equipment were used. He said it happened between 4:50 and 5am Sunday morning.
For only taking ten minutes, the damage is extensive. It is believed it may stem from a dispute between the original contractor on the construction project and a sub-contractor but that has not been confirmed.
ISAM is a German company that has been in business in Mobile for several years. The computer automation company has done work for Thyssenkrup and the Alabama State Port among others.
