The season is upon us. It’s a season Christmas tree farmer Steve Mannard has worked for all year. He is gearing up for his busiest day of the year when his Christmas tree farm opens to the public the day after Thanksgiving.
Whether you are looking for a Cypress, Fir or a Spruce, Mannard says they shouldn’t be hard to find. The growing season was almost perfect. “The temperature and the rain was just about perfect,” he says grinning from ear to ear, “there were a few dry spells, but this was a really good growing year.”
Box stores and tree lots have already got their initial supply of trees. Most of those coming from North Carolina.
The smaller the tree the lower the price but on average the typical seven-foot tree will run about 50 dollars.
