BAY MINETTE, AL- Judge Clark Stankoski ordered the state to turn over evidence to Cameron Harrison’s attorney by 5pm Sunday, but the Baldwin County District Attorney’s Office ignored the order.
Instead of complying, prosecutors filed a motion asking the judge to reconsider, claiming the rape investigation is fluid and still developing.
That move didn’t sit well with Judge Stankoski, the judge gave the DA’s office an ultimatum turn over discovery requested by the defense by 2pm Monday or face strict sanctions, including the dismissal of the case.
Prosecutors finally complied and Harrison’s attorney walked out of the DA’s office with a CD and some paperwork.
The CD is believed to contained video of the alleged victim who was reported to be unconscious at a party last month when she was allegedly raped.
Harrison is on house arrest and was kicked out of school. The 18-year old will have a preliminary hearing Tuesday morning.
