Gas Prices Lowest In 8 Years On Thanksgiving Holiday

According to Trip Advisor, four out of 10 Americans plan to travel this Thanksgiving. The majority will travel by car.

If you are one of those 42 million Americans planning to travel, prepare to pay the lowest prices at the pump, during this season, in eight years. Gas prices have been falling for 17 consecutive days. Triple A says that adds up to total savings of 15 cents per gallon. Gas prices are down 75 cents per gallon compared to this same time last year. That puts more money in more pockets for the upcoming holiday season.

The national average is set to fall under two dollars per gallon by Christmas, but in Mobile, there are several gas stations already selling well below the two dollar mark.

Alabama is one of 18 states where consumers are paying under the two dollar mark.
