LIST: Site Ranks “Top 10 Drunkest Cities in Alabama”

An interesting website article claiming to have ranked the top ten drunkest cities in Alabama is making the rounds on the web.

RoadSnacks, an online website specializing in “bite-sized snacks” of information, posted the list on their website several weeks ago. Since then, the list has been seen around 5,000 times.

According to the article, RoadSnacks compiled the list using statistics such as the number of bars per capita, liquor stores per capita, divorce rate and drunk tweets.  The website playfully admits their list is far from an exact science and is meant as “info-tainment” but that hasn’t stopped it from being shared on social media.

9) Sheffield

8) Lincoln

7) Huntsville

6) Anniston

5) Foley

Population: 15,615
Divorce rate: 14.7%
Bars per capita: 5th
Liquor stores per capita: 31st

4) Tuscaloosa
