An Alabama Congresswoman says her mission is to find out the truth involving the Benghazi terror attack in 2012. On Thursday, Hillary Clinton will be in the hot seat to answer questions about how she handle the situation as Secretary of State. Representative Martha Roby, a Republican, is part of the Benghazi Select Committee investigating the attack. U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens died in the attacks as did three other Americans.
Roby says the committee, which is made up of Republicans and Democrats, has “one mission: to find out the truth…The people deserve the truth…We’re going to follow the facts, wherever they lead.”
Hillary Clinton and the Obama Administration have come under fire about the Benghazi attack. Some question inadequate security for Ambassador Stevens, the slow U.S. Military response to the attack, and the misinformation delivered by U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice after the attack in Libya.
Congresswoman Martha Roby says the committee has interviewed 46 new witnesses, and Mrs. Clinton is just one part of this vast investigation.
The Benghazi hearing in the U.S. House of Representatives begins Thursday morning, October 22 at 9:00 Central time.
