Alabama on Short List for Aston Martin Plant

Aston Martin has narrowed the list of potential sites for a new manufacturing plant and Alabama has made the list. CEO Andy Palmer says the company’s Gaydon, England plant is running out of space to build new models.

The company has it’s eye on Alabama for many reasons, but one good one, is because of Mercedes Benz success in the state at it’s Tuscaloosa County Plant.  Mercedes owner Daimler has a stake in Aston Martin.

The company wants to build its new DBX model at a new manufacturing facility.  The DBX is an all electric, all wheel drive crossover SUV.  It was unveiled as a concept car at the Geneva Auto Show earlier this year.
