Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban not happy with at least one question asked at Monday’s press conference in Tuscaloosa. He got pretty fired up after a reporter posed a question regarding the perception of the Crimson Tide week to week. Here’s Coach Saban’s answer:
“It really doesn’t matter what you think. It doesn’t matter what you say, and I’m hoping no one on our team is playing for you. I hope they are playing for each other and their team and what they want to accomplish and not what you think. Alright, because that’s not what certainly I’m doing… If it was up to you, we’re 6-foot under already. We’re dead and buried, and gone. Gone!”
Coach Saban went on to say that he believes in his team. He also mentioned this week’s opponent, calling the Arkansas Razorbacks a “tough challenge”. Arkansas is coming off a win against Tennessee, but they have three losses on the season. Saban credited Arkansas with having one of the best offensive lines in the country.
Nick Saban had some positive words regarding Mobile native Jake Coker. The starting quarterback performed well against Georgia. Saban said Coker has “done a really good job and is getting better and better each week.”
Alabama takes on Arkansas this Saturday afternoon in Tuscaloosa. The game coverage begins at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN.
