FOLEY, AL- The weather has caused a few construction delays at Foley’s 600 acre sports tourism complex, but the work at the site continues.
10 light poles were raised within the last two weeks. The equipment will light 15 multi-purpose fields, including a championship stadium.
More than 60 sports events have already been booked. The first, official event will be held on these fields next May when the city hosts a large, youth soccer tournament.
Phase 2, the amusement park backed by the Poarch Creek Indians, will include hotels, restaurants, shops, a water park, rides and roller coasters.
Many of the rides will open next summer.
