Reports came to the News 5 newsroom today of a man allegedly taking pictures of women and girls as they were using the restroom at San Miguel’s restaurant on Schillinger Road.
27-year-old Patrick Herron was arrested today and charged with criminal surveillance. About 2,000 folks on Facebook have shared this story with pictures of him in handcuffs in the backseat of a patrol car. We reached out to San Miguel’s who told us the morning hostess was there when it happened and said officers found 15 photos on his cell phone. On Facebook, the mother of one of the girls in the restroom posted the story on Facebook. She said her daughter’s friend told her someone was in the bathroom taking pictures of her daughter. The mother went to the door to confront whoever it was and saw Herron walking out. According to her, Herron said he accidentally walked into the wrong restroom and promised he didn’t have a cell phone. He then ran out the door but was later tackled by three men. According to the mother, officers said they found a knife and possibly another cell phone in his car. We will keep you updated with more information as soon as it becomes available.
