MOBILE-One man was injured Tuesday morning in an early morning fire. It happened at 162 Stonewall Place. The caller reported smoke and fire visible at approximately 3:46 a.m.
Firefighters arrived to report smoke visible from the two-story apartment building. One male occupant received burns to the hands when he attempted to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher and was transported to USA Medical Center.
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time. The fire damaged four units at an estimate of approximately $100 thousand.
No other injuries were reported.
