Two Elberta parents have been arrested for child endangerment after they were found raising their children in an infested home.
Joseph Spicer and Stephanie Spicer are being held in jail on misdemeanor charges after a welfare check was conducted at their residence.
Police tell News 5 the home was infested with rats, animal feces, cockroaches, and rotting food. The home was in a filthy, deteriorated state, police said, with no plumbing or electricity.
The Department of Human Resources took the children, said to be 8 and 11-years-old, and the Spicers were arrested.
