MOBILE- Beginning Saturday, September 26, the Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center will bring to Mobile and the Gulf Coast Region a unique and educational exhibition for young and old alike. Chocolate! The Exhibition explores the rich natural and cultural history of one of the world’s favorite treats, tracing chocolate from its origin in the rainforest to its status as a global economic commodity.
The Exploreum is seeking interested individuals to become a docent for Chocolate! and assist the Exploreum staff in engaging visitors and enhancing the guest experience.
Docents will have an up close and exciting trip into the world of chocolate, delving deep into its lush history.
As guides, docents will take visitors on a journey where they will discover chocolate’s impact on human cultures and tropical ecosystems through scenic elements, original video, interactive displays, rich imagery and graphics, and approximately 150 objects.
Chocolate! The Exhibition runs through January 17.
Anyone interested in becoming a docent should contact Wes Burton, Director of Education at the Exploreum at firstname.lastname@example.org <mailto:email@example.com>, or call 251-208-6817. #
