Dozens of students turned out in memory of a student killed in a car accident earlier this month.
Students from USA joined the family of Jaimie Witcraft for a campus prayer vigil.
“You have truly helped us find light in the days of darkness,” Jaimie’s father told the crowd.
“We just want to show them that even though unfortunately they lost a a beautiful daughter, they have gained thousands of family members through this tragedy,” said nursing student Brandon Funderburg.
Witcraft was killed July 3 when her car was crushed in a six vehicle accident on interstate 10.
“It was complete shock because you hear about car accidents all the time and you never think that car accident is going to be someone you know, much less someone you see almost everyday,” said Darcy Kelley, a fellow nursing student.
Not only was Witcraft in Nursing but also ROTC. Her family says her dream was to be a nurse in the Air Force.
