With Airbus set to cut the ribbon on its Mobile plant this September, it’s even more important to have a local presence in Paris, especially since Airbus is based in Tolouse, France. Congressman Bradley Byrne says it’s important to show potential customers a united front.
“Well, if you’re from another country and you’re coming to America, it really sends them a signal that we want them to come, that they will be treated well when they come. When they see the federal governmental officials, the state governmental officials and the local governmental officials all working together as one team, it tells them we have our act together, and that we’re a good place to locate and hire people.
Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson and State Senator Bill Hightower are also in Paris. The air show gets underway on Monday.
